Dear VLCS Parents,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and may His grace and peace be multiplied to all of you. Praise be to God, our RSC team returned safely on Friday, 1 September. The students did well in all the different Divisions (academics, platform, vocals, arts and sports) and 80% of them won medals for 1st to 6th placings. They exhibited cheerfulness, patience, obedience and sportsmanship throughout the one week. As a school, we were placed third for the Arts and Sports Divisions. We give thanks to God for His blessings in the RSC and thank you for your prayer support.

Activities for the month of September:

• Monday, 11 September: Term 2 commences
• Saturday, 16 September: HWA Flag Day
• Monday, 18 September: Parents-Staff Fellowship (PSF)

We are very proud of all the students and graduates who gave their best for a glorious celebration. All glory to God who made all things work together for good!

• Wednesday, 9 August: National Day, public holiday
• Thursday, 10 August: School holiday in lieu of National Day
• Friday, 11 August: School holiday in lieu of Awards and Graduation Celebration
• Monday, 14 August: School resumes
• Friday, 25 August: Effectively the last day of Term 1
• Sunday, 27 August: Travel to Regional Student Convention (RSC) 2017

We are excited to begin the new academic year at our new premises. The theme for our staff conference and planning for 2017/2018 was “From glory to glory”.
