Dear VLCS Parents,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our new academic year 2013/14 commenced on Monday, 1 July, and we are looking to the Lord for greater things to come, believing what the Lord has said in 1 Cor. 2:9: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
Student Leadership Camp – Wednesday, 3 July to Friday, 5 July
28 students were selected for leadership training with Mr. Barnabas Loh from Scripture Union, at Aloha Loyang Gardens Bungalow. We are believing God that these students will follow the ways of God when given the opportunity to serve as leaders.
Youth Day Celebration – Tuesday, 9 July
As Youth Day falls on Sunday, please note that there will be no school on Monday, 8 July. The school will be celebrating Youth Day on Tuesday, 9 July, with a lunch treat. You are invited to bring blessings to celebrate with the youth.
Victory Nite ’13 – Sunday, 4 August
This annual celebration will be held at the Matrix @ Biopolis, 30 Biopolis Street, Level 2, Singapore 138671. With barely four weeks to go, our preparations will be shifting to a higher gear. More practices will be scheduled and we appreciate your prayer support and transport arrangements for your children.

Props and Costume Teams: Mondays- 15, 22, 29 July; Fridays- 12, 19, 26 July
We have booked a studio at HomeTeam-JOM for some of the above practices. Supervisors will be bringing the students to the studio and back to school for dismissal. Full dress rehearsal is on 26 July.
Financial Commitment
Once again, thank you for fulfilling your commitment, and we hope that all fees will be collected by Tuesday, 9 July, so that we can focus on making preparations for Victory Nite. Thank you for your prayers for God’s favour and blessings on all staff and students as we commence the new academic year.
